Graviola (German: Stachelannone, Spanish: Guanabana) is a sweet-tasting fruit that grows on a small tree in South America, amongst other places; it is quite long and heavy, and its skin is covered with many soft spines. Graviola has been regarded since time immemorial as the ‘magic fruit’ of the Amazonian Indians. Generally, its flesh is white, juicy, has an excellent aroma and is very pleasant to the taste. Graviola is sweet, with a slightly tart note.

Graviola juice, which is cloudy, should be consumed regularly. Adults should take up to 30 ml twice daily before meals. Shake well before use. Notes: Graviola stimulates the uterus and should therefore not be used during pregnancy. Anyone currently undergoing medical treatment should consult their doctor or therapist before consumption. Overdose may cause nausea. In people with sensitive stomachs, graviola may cause nausea if consumed in quantities of up to 100 ml. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Dietary supplements can temporarily compensate for dietary errors or the consequences of malnutrition, for example due to a diet. However, they are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of the reach of children.
