HARTMANN MedProtect Film Swab is a skin protection swab that protects vulnerable or damaged skin by forming a long-lasting, breathable and waterproof skin barrier against bodily fluids and external irritants for up to 72 hours.

HARTMANN MedProtect Film Swab is a skin protection swab that protects vulnerable or damaged skin from moisture, friction and irritants. The polymer solution forms a transparent film that creates a waterproof skin barrier on areas of skin that can no longer effectively absorb moisture. This provides optimal protection for sensitive skin.

The skin protection swab offers up to 72 hours of lasting protection and reduces the need for more frequent applications. At the same time, it enhances patient comfort. The quick-drying formula dries in approximately 30 seconds, enabling rapid and controlled application. It does not impair the adhesion of medical plasters or dressings, nor does it affect the absorbency of incontinence products.

The MedProtect Film Swab is suitable for use on vulnerable or damaged skin and can be used in various care situations, e.g. for incontinence, stoma care and wound healing. The swab is designed for precise application to small areas of skin, particularly to protect wound edges and to avoid direct contact with the area surrounding the wound. MedProtect Film Swabs are intended for use on vulnerable or damaged skin and protect it from moisture and external irritants.

Directions foruse:

• Ensure that the skin is clean and dry before use
• Remove the foam applicator from the sachet and apply the film evenly to the affected area
• If any areas of skin have been missed, repeat the process once the first layer has dried (approx. 30 seconds)
• When applying to skin folds or areas of skin-to-skin contact, separate the skin until the film has dried completely
• Allow the film to dry completely (approx. 30 seconds) before applying a dressing or plaster
• Reapply the film with every dressing change
• Consistent use ensures effective skin protection and contributes to efficient care
