HARTMANN MedProtect Film Spray is a skin protection spray that protects vulnerable or damaged skin from moisture, friction and irritants. It forms a transparent film that creates a waterproof yet breathable protective layer – ideal for skin that can no longer absorb moisture.

The skin protection spray offers long-lasting protection for up to 72 hours, thereby reducing the need for frequent reapplication, which simplifies care routines and enhances patient comfort. The formulation dries in around 30 seconds, enabling quick and efficient application. The absorbency of incontinence products remains fully intact, and the adhesion of adhesive fixations and wound dressings (with adhesive edges) is not compromised.

MedProtect Film Spray is suitable for at-risk and damaged skin and can be used in a wide range of care situations, including incontinence, stoma care and skin damage around wounds. The spray is ideal for medium-sized and hard-to-reach areas and allows for targeted, even application – for example, as skin protection in cases of IAD. The alcohol-free formulation ensures gentle, non-irritating application, even on sensitive or already damaged skin. HARTMANN MedProtect Film Spray is intended for use on vulnerable or damaged skin to protect it from moisture and external irritants.

Directions foruse:

• Ensure that the skin is clean and completely dry before use.
• Hold the spray 100–150 mm away from the skin and apply an even film over the affected area.
• If an area has not been completely covered, reapply once dry (approx. 30 seconds).
• In the case of skin folds or skin-to-skin contact, separate the skin until the film has dried completely. Allow the film to dry completely (approx. 30 seconds) before applying incontinence products.
• Reapply every 24–72 hours, depending on the frequency of cleansing. In cases of greater skin stress, more frequent application every 12–24 hours may be necessary.
• A consistent application method supports reliable skin protection and promotes effective care routines.
