The GlucoMen® areo beta-ketone sensor test strip (light violet colour) is an in-vitro diagnostic device. It is used for the quantitative determination of beta-ketone (beta-hydroxybutyrate) in fresh capillary whole blood samples. The GlucoMen® areo beta-ketone sensor can only be used with the GlucoMen® areo 2K meter. The GlucoMen® areo 2K measurement system is an in-vitro diagnostic device for the home measurement of glucose and beta-ketone. The system can also be used in a clinical setting by healthcare professionals. The system is not to be used for the diagnosis of DKA or neonatal use. Do not change your treatment based on the ß-ketone values measured with the system without first consulting your doctor or diabetes counsellor.
