Gall Pharma White Kidney Bean Capsules are a food supplement containing 250 mg white kidney bean powder with a standardised amylase inhibition of at least 50 % per capsule to support weight-reducing diets.

The bean extract contains phaseolamine. This is an enzyme inhibitor. Phaseolamine inhibits the digestive enzyme alpha-amylase, which converts starch into glucose. This prevents the calorific utilisation of starch, which is found in many plant foods, in the body. Bean extract should therefore be taken with a carbohydrate-rich meal.
