Gall Pharma Pineapple Bromelain 250 mg Capsules, 750 ST

Product information "Gall Pharma Pineapple Bromelain 250 mg Capsules"
Gall Pharma Pineapple Bromelain 250 mg capsules are a food supplement with pineapple powder and bromelain. This combination relieves inflammation/swelling and sports injuries, and also provides important digestive enzymes.

Bromelain taken with food has favourable effects on the functions of the digestive tract and supplements the body's own digestive enzymes in a natural way. The utilisation of hard-to-digest, protein-rich food can be favoured. Inflammation and tissue regeneration processes can also be positively influenced. Easier protein removal can lead to a reduction in swelling and oedema.

Bromelain is a mixture of proteolytic enzymes from the stem of the pineapple plant (Ananas comosus), which belongs to the bromeliad family (Bromeliaceae). The pineapple is originally native to Central America and is now cultivated as a fruit plant in the tropics worldwide. It is a perennial plant with a dense rosette of stiff, pointed and toothed leaves and purple-coloured flowers. When ripe, the flower axis swells and surrounds the ovule with the juicy pulp. A tuft of spiky leaves grows on top of the fruit. The ripe pineapple fruit is rich in vitamins, especially vitamin C, B1, B2 and niacin, minerals and enzymes, including bromelain. However, the majority of the bromelain is obtained from the mother stumps and the flower axis of the harvested stocks. Bromelain is made up of a mixture of very similar protein-splitting enzymes (proteases). As so-called bio-catalysts, enzymes are responsible for all chemical conversions in animal and plant organisms.

Therapeutically relevant effects of bromelain relate to proteolytic and fibrinolytic activity. For example, the dissolution of blood clots has been observed under the influence of bromelain. Platelet aggregation is also inhibited. The enzyme mixture also has anti-inflammatory properties and can counteract the formation of oedema. According to recent study results, bromelain also has an antineoplastic effect, whereby the growth of tumour cells is inhibited. Scientifically proven areas of application for bromelain include swelling after operations or injuries, particularly to the nose and sinuses.
