Manganese is one of the trace elements that the organism needs for the development of connective tissue, bone structure and cartilage formation. Deficiency symptoms manifest themselves in reduced bone growth and a reduction in enzyme activity. Manganese contributes to normal energy metabolism and also helps to protect the cells from oxidative stress. Manganese is present in this formulation as a chelate. This allows the manganese to enter the intestine undamaged and be absorbed into the cells. This increases the amount of manganese supplied and improves tolerability
