Gall Pharma L-Glutamic Acid 400 mg Capsules are a food supplement containing L-glutamic acid. This non-essential amino acid is an important neurotransmitter (messenger substance) in the central nervous system.
L-glutamic acid is a proteinogenic amino acid that is involved in the formation of proteins. Together with cysteine and glycine, it forms the tripeptide glutathione, which plays a key role in the human redox system as a powerful antioxidant. Glutamic acid is found in high concentrations in the brain, where it acts as a stimulating neurotransmitter. At the same time, it serves as a starting substance for the formation of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an important inhibitory neurotransmitter in the CNS. These two messenger substances regulate each other.
L-glutamic acid is both a precursor and a degradation product of the amino acid L-glutamine. During the synthesis of L-glutamine, harmful ammonia is bound and neutralised. Low glutamic acid concentrations can lead to cognitive impairment, anxiety, tension and sleep disorders.

Directions
- Adults: Take 2 x 1 capsule daily with liquid after a main meal at least 3 hours before going to bed.
- Advice: Consumption during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the case of pathological increases in drive and affect and neurodegenerative diseases is not recommended.
