Gall Pharma L-Aspartic Acid Capsules are a food supplement containing 500 mg L-aspartic acid per capsule. Aspartic acid is an amino acid that promotes endurance during heavy physical exertion and supports energy metabolism.
In recent years, more and more knowledge has been gained about other functions of amino acids that are not related to protein synthesis. These functions include those that are important for the maintenance of health, i.e. oxidation protection, for example. L-aspartic acid plays a role in energy metabolism. In the form of asparagine, it is involved in the burning and production of cellular energy. It promotes endurance during intense physical activity, such as sport. It counteracts exhaustion. L-aspartic acid also supports the ability to absorb minerals from the intestine. It is also an important amino acid in the formation of DNA, RNA (genetic material) and the amino acid L-threonine.
- L-aspartic acid: Amino acids are indispensable as building blocks for the body's own proteins and as energy suppliers. L-aspartic acid is a non-essential amino acid. It occurs in the organism both as an acid (aspartic acid) and as an amide (asparagine) in proteins. Asparagine is found in plant seedlings (asparagus) and L-aspartic acid in maize, wheat and plant foods. In the body, L-aspartic acid is also produced from glutamate with the help of vitamin B6, among others. The amide (asparagine) takes part in important biochemical reactions in the body and is involved in numerous activities.
