Gall Pharma L-histidine powder is a dietary supplement with approx. 1000 mg L-histidine per daily dose. The amino acid supports the immune system, increases the feeling of pleasure and stimulates the nervous system.
L-histidine is a semi-essential amino acid. As L-histidine can only be produced in very small quantities by the body itself, it must be obtained primarily from food. It is of great importance. Histidine is a precursor for the body's own synthesis of histamine.
This amino acid performs the following functions:
- Haemoglobin synthesis: Histidine plays a role in the synthesis of the oxygen-carrying blood pigment haemoglobin in the red blood cells. Histidine is important for a person's physical and mental fitness, because the more haemoglobin is produced, the more efficient a person is.
- Blood pressure: The positive effect of histidine on high blood pressure has been recognised. Blood pressure can be lowered by supporting vasodilatation.
- Inflammatory joint diseases: A very large number of studies have shown that there is a correlation between the intensity of the disease and the histidine concentration. The administration of L-histidine has improved the condition with regard to joint pain and stiffness.
