Gall Pharma Cranberry Capsules are a dietary supplement with 400 mg cranberry concentrate per capsule. They are used to support acute urinary tract infections, prevent cystitis and strengthen the immune system.
The health-promoting properties of cranberries are due to the anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins they contain. These secondary plant substances have been proven to prevent pathogenic germs from adhering to the mucous membranes of the urinary tract and bladder. This is achieved by inhibiting the expression of fimbriae in the bacteria and blocking their docking sites. This makes it easier for the pathogens to be flushed out and prevents them from triggering an inflammatory reaction. Cranberries have therefore proven their worth for years in the treatment of both acute and recurrent urinary tract infections. The red fruits are also a good source of minerals and trace elements. They contain vitamins C, E, B1, B2, B5, B6, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, iron, manganese, copper and iodine.
