Gall Pharma Carnosine Capsules are a dietary supplement containing 250 mg of the dipeptide L-carnosine per capsule. This amino acid protects cells from free radicals, increases cell lifespan and promotes the elasticity and firmness of the skin.
L-carnosine is a multifunctional dipeptide and consists of a combination of the amino acids beta-alanine and L-histidine. Long-lived cells in particular, such as nerve cells and muscle cells, have high levels of carnosine. Naturally, L-carnosine is found only in animal organisms (muscle, nerve cells and eye lenses), but not in plants.
L-carnosine is a substance that protects and nourishes the fundamental building blocks of life – cells, proteins, DNA and lipids. It possesses the remarkable ability to rejuvenate cells, restore their normal appearance and extend their lifespan. As an antioxidant, L-carnosine neutralises harmful free radicals. Carnosine levels in the human body decline with age. In muscle tissue, for example, levels fall by 63 per cent between the ages of 10 and 70, which corresponds to the normal age-related decline in muscle mass and muscle function.
L-carnosine supports many metabolic processes and protects against harmful influences.
