Gall Pharma Apple Extract Capsules are a dietary supplement with 100 mg standardised cider apple dry extract per capsule. The apple has strong antioxidant properties, which serve as radical scavengers to protect the cells.
As radical scavengers, they protect the body's own cells from attack by free radicals and can therefore favourably influence cell ageing, oxidative stress and associated disorders. Phloridzin, which is found in apples, regulates blood sugar by inhibiting the sodium/glucose cotransporter in the intestine and kidneys. This reduces glucose absorption and promotes renal glucose excretion. Elevated postprandial blood glucose levels can be equalised. Phloridzin also influences lipid metabolism. In combination with the other polyphenols and dietary fibres, this results in a cholesterol-lowering effect and cardiovascular protection. According to some studies, apple polyphenols also appear to have protective properties in connection with osteoporosis.
