Gall Pharma Acetylcysteine Powder is a dietary supplement containing approximately 500 mg of N-acetyl-L-cysteine per measuring spoon. Acetylcysteine is a precursor to L-cysteine and supports the body by acting as a free radical scavenger, strengthening the immune system and having a detoxifying effect.

Acetylcysteine is a precursor to the amino acid L-cysteine and is a good source of cysteine for the body. It is a modified, stable form of L-cysteine and is characterised by improved water solubility. It is rapidly absorbed by the body and almost completely utilised. The active metabolite L-cysteine is then produced in the liver.

Indications

• Free radical scavenger: L-cysteine, together with L-glutamine, serves as a precursor for the synthesis of glutathione. Glutathione protects cells from free radicals. These damage cells and are therefore implicated in the development of many diseases. Glutathione can neutralise free radicals.
