Gall Pharma Acetylcysteine Capsules is a food supplement with 500 mg N-acetyl-L-cysteine per capsule. Acetylcysteine is a precursor of L-cysteine and supports the body as a radical scavenger, strengthens the immune system and has a detoxifying effect.
Acetylcysteine is a precursor of the amino acid L-cysteine and is a good source of cysteine for the body. It is a modified, stable form of L-cysteine and is characterised by better water solubility. It is quickly absorbed in the body and almost completely absorbed. The active metabolite L-cysteine is then produced in the liver.
Areas of application
- Radical scavenger: Together with L-glutamine, L-cysteine serves as the starting material for the synthesis of glutathione. Glutathione protects the cell from free radicals. Our current living conditions - high levels of physical and mental stress, an unbalanced diet and negative environmental influences - promote the formation of free radicals. They damage the cells and are therefore involved in the development of many diseases. Glutathione can render free radicals harmless.
- Increased defence: L-cysteine is important for immune function.
- Detoxification: The amino acid cysteine has supportive effects in the removal of heavy metals and can protect against the effects of smoke, alcohol and radiation.
