The Flocare® MiniSoft Button is a very discreet, transparent replacement tube made of silicone for horizontal, gastric, percutaneous feeding tubes.

Application

• Use: long-term (foreseeable longer than 2-3 weeks). Insertion of the button over an existing, fully formed gastric stoma (usually approx. 4-6 weeks after a PEG placement). Only suitable for a fully formed stoma. Fixation with an internal retention balloon, which is filled with the amount of sterile water recommended below: - CH 12 - 3 ml - CH 14 - 4 ml - CH 16 / 18 - 5 ml - CH 20 / 24 - 8 ml Ideally suited for mobile and disabled residents/patients (fewer manipulation options), especially in children (less stigmatisation, greatest possible freedom of movement).
• Contraindications: No fully formed stoma, general, absolute contraindications against enteral nutrition.
