The Pater Severin rowan berry spray is a dietary supplement based on an old monastery recipe for ingestion. Made from a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of rowan berries.
The rowan (Sorbus aucuparia L.) belongs to the rose family (Rosaceae). The berries contain vitamin C, organic acids, essential oil, tannins, bitter substances and also parasorbic acid. In alpine regions, the distillate of rowan berries, known as "rowan berry schnapps", is particularly well-known. In folk medicine, rowan berries are said to have favourable effects on the kidneys, rheumatic complaints and menstrual problems.
