Stinging nettles (Urtica dioica L., Urtica urens L.) belong to the stinging nettle family (Urticaceae). For a long time, stinging nettles were considered a useless weed. Today, the leaves and roots of the plant are used for detoxification and drainage due to their ingredients (especially iron and magnesium, potassium, calcium and phosphorus, vitamin C and silicic acid). In addition, the alcoholic extract of nettle roots is recommended as a hair growth agent for rubbing into the scalp.
