Stinging nettles (Urtica dioica L., Urtica urens L.) belong to the stinging nettle family (Urticaceae). For a long time, stinging nettles were considered useless weeds. Today, the leaves and roots of the plant are used for detoxification and drainage due to their ingredients (especially iron and magnesium, potassium, calcium and phosphorus, vitamin C and silicic acid). In addition, the alcoholic extract of nettle roots is recommended as a hair growth agent for rubbing into the scalp.
