The dandelion belongs to the daisy family (Cichoriceae). The ingredients of the dandelion include: Vitamins, bitter substances, triterpenes and sterols, carotenoids, flavonoids, tannins, lots of calcium and trace elements. The plant has choleretic, appetite-stimulating and diuretic properties and is mainly used to treat dyspeptic complaints and disorders of bile flow.
