Quackgrass root has positive effects on inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract, bladder catarrh and kidney stones as well as gout and rheumatism, and is therefore often used as a flushing therapy. The ingredients are mucilage and soap substances (saponins). It also contains silicic acid, potassium salts and iron as well as vitamins A and B.
