Father Severin’s Cinchona Bark Drops are a dietary supplement for oral use. The Cinchona Bark Drops contain a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of cinchona bark.
The red cinchona tree (Cinchona pubescens Vahl.) belongs to the Rubiaceae family. The Incas were already familiar with its beneficial properties (fever-reducing, tonifying and appetite-stimulating). The active ingredients include, in particular, bitter alkaloids (quinine, quinidine, chinchonine and chinchonidine), catechin tannins and bitter compounds. Aqueous/alcoholic extracts of cinchona bark are used primarily for flu-like infections and fever, as well as for digestive complaints due to their high content of bitter substances.
