Pater Severin Blueberry Fruit Drops are a dietary supplement for oral use. The blueberry fruit drops contain a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of blueberry fruit.
Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.), also known as blueberry, belongs to the heather family (Ericaceae). The fruits contain catechin tannins, flavonoids and anthocyanins (blue colouring). The dried blueberries are used in particular. Due to the high tannin content, the effects of dried bilberry fruits on the intestinal tract are appreciated. Its use for diarrhoea has a long tradition. In folk medicine, preparations of bilberry are used internally for haemorrhoids and as a gargle.
