Father Severin bladderwrack spray, 50 ml

Product information "Father Severin bladderwrack spray"

Pater Severin Bladderwrack Spray is an oral dietary supplement based on an old monastery recipe. Made from a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of bladderwrack.

The common bladder wrack (Fucus vesiculosus L.), also known as sea oak, belongs to the brown algae family (Fucaceae). One characteristic of bladderwrack is its characteristic fishy odour. The most important ingredients in the algae are iodine, β-carotene, alginic acid, fucoidan and laminarin. In folk medicine, the common bladderwrack is mainly used as a tea; today it is used in slimming tea blends. Hildegard von Bingen also describes a so-called "slimming elixir" in her writings.
