Pater Severin Black Tea Drops are a dietary supplement for oral use. The black tea drops contain a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of black tea.
Black tea is obtained from the leaves of the tea bush (Thea sinensis L.) from the tea bush family (Theaceae). The characteristic ingredient of black tea is caffeine. It also contains essential oils and secondary plant substances such as tannins. Important nutrients such as potassium, manganese and vitamin B are also contained. The tannins have constipating, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties on the gastrointestinal tract and black tea can therefore be used to treat diarrhoea.
