Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva ursi (L.) SPRENG) from the heather family (Ericacea) is also known as wolfberry, sandberry or urine herb. Its ingredients are arbutin, methylarbutin, hydroquinone, tannins and flavonoids, as well as essential oil. The use of bearberry has a long tradition.
