Toadflax is a plant species from the genus Linaria in the plantain family (Plantaginacea). Toadflax is said to have diuretic and laxative properties. In addition to linarin, pectolinarin (flavone glycosides) and peganin (alkaloids) are among the most important ingredients of toadflax.
