Thyme is originally native to the Mediterranean region. The most important ingredient of thyme is the essential oil (thymol, carvacrol). Thymol has bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal properties. Other ingredients are labiate tannins, flavonoids and triterpenes. Dried thyme is often used to make teas and has a positive effect on the bronchial and intestinal tract. It is also used to treat spasmodic dry coughs due to its expectorant and antibacterial properties.

Adults: If required, take 2 - 3 x 10 - 20 drops diluted with a glass of water.
