The raspberry (Rubus idaeus L) belongs to the rose family (Rosaceae). The mostly red, soft fruits are not actually berries, but belong to the aggregate stone fruits. The most important ingredients of raspberry leaves include tannins, flavonoids and vitamin C. In naturopathy, the dried leaves and shoot tips are used to treat stomach complaints. They are also used for gynaecological complaints, menstrual problems, hormonal imbalances, PMS or lack of ovulation.
