Electuarium aromaticum is also known as spice latwerge or lung latwerge. This latwerge is an excellent remedy for strengthening the stomach and promoting digestion. Hildegard von Bingen was also aware of its positive properties, which is why "Hildegard Latwerge" is often used today. There are now numerous regional varieties of Latwerge (made from blackthorn, juniper, rosehip and spruce shoots).
