Pater Severin Diptam Root Spray is a dietary supplement based on an old monastery recipe for ingestion. Made from a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of diptam root.
Diptam (Dictamnus albus) belongs to the rue family (Rutaceae). Diptam leaves and dried diptam roots are often used in folk medicine to promote menstruation, as a diuretic and for stomach complaints. The root contains dictamnine, saponin, essential oils, sugar and wax. In Hildegard von Bingen's nutritional therapy, diptam powder is simply sprinkled over food or stirred into soups as a remedy for arteriosclerosis and increased blood lipid levels.
