Father Severin’s Condurango Bark Drops are a dietary supplement for oral use. The Condurango Bark Drops contain a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of Condurango bark.
The Condurango shrub (Marsdenia condurango) belongs to the milkweed family (Asclepiadaceae). It is primarily the dried bark of the shrub that is used, which contains the active ingredients condurangosides, steroid saponins, flavonoids and coumarin derivatives. Condurango bark is said to have beneficial effects on digestive complaints and stomach pain. In folk medicine, the bark is used as a bitter. It can increase the secretion of saliva and gastric juice and help with a lack of appetite.
