Pater Severin Citronell Drops are a dietary supplement for oral use. The citronella drops contain a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of lemongrass.
The lemongrass used belongs to the sweet grass family (Poaceae). It is also known as citronella grass or winter grass. The leaves and the essential oil of the plant are mainly used. The main ingredient of the strongly aromatic smelling grass is the essential oil with the two main components geraniol and citronellal. The essential oil is used externally, for example as a bath additive or diluted as an embrocation for rheumatism. In folk medicine and aromatherapy, citronella oil is mainly used to treat inner restlessness and nervousness.
