Castoreum is also known as castoreum. It is a secretion that comes from the glandular sacs of the beaver. Castoreum was formerly used as an antispasmodic and to treat nervousness. The main ingredient is "castorin", whose main component is cholesterol. Castoreum is also said to have a positive effect on colds due to the salicylic acid it contains.
