Pater Severin Bloodroot Spray is an oral dietary supplement based on an old monastery recipe. Made from a 100 % aqueous/alcoholic extract of bloodroot.
Canadian bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis L.) belongs to the poppy family (Papaveraceae). It owes its name to the reddish sap found in its root. The most important ingredients are benzylisoquinoline alkaloids (sanguinarine, chelerythrine, protopine and berberine). Bloodroot is used for headaches, migraines, rheumatic joint pain, respiratory infections, colds, rhinitis, otitis media and menopausal symptoms.
