The blackberry (Rubus fruticosus L.) belongs to the rose family (Rosaceae). The dried leaves, which are harvested in spring, contain tannins, plant acids and flavonoids, among other things. Due to its tannin content, it is recommended against diarrhoea and inflammation of the mouth and throat.
