Pater Severin Barberry Fruit Spray is a dietary supplement for oral use, based on an ancient monastic recipe. It is made from a 100 per cent aqueous/alcoholic extract of barberry fruit.
The barberry (Berberis vulgaris L.) belongs to the barberry family (Berberidaceae). The barberry is a very ancient medicinal plant, the use of which was already known in ancient Egypt. The most important constituents of barberry fruit include vitamin C, fruit acids and pectin. The dried fruits are very popular as a source of vitamins. Barberry fruit in liquid form can have a positive effect on gum health.
