Elimax® anti-lice set combination pack, 1 PK

The Elimax® anti-lice set consists of a combination of the Elimax® Pure Power Lotion (200 ml) - for rapid treatment and the Elimax® Lice Defence Shampoo (200 ml) for protection and prevention against new infestations of lice and nits.

Elimax® Pure Power solution

Elimax® Pure Power is an effective solution against lice and nits. It consists of 2 liquids that must be mixed before use. The active ingredient consists of a specially developed substance Prosil and the lice protection factor (LPF®). The patented Prosil was selected because of its strong effect against head lice. The mixture has a double effect: it blocks the lice's breathing holes and draws fluid from the louse's skin after just 10 minutes. Elimax® Pure Power does not contain any neurotoxic insecticides, so no resistance can build up. Elimax® Pure Power contains no silicone (dimethicone), so there is no greasy residue in the hair. To ensure optimum protection against lice, Elimax® contains LPF®. This factor makes the hair extremely unattractive to lice.

Hair treated and washed with Elimax® Pure Power remains grease-free after treatment and is less likely to be infested by new lice.

How does Elimax® Pure Power protect the hair from re-infestation?

LPF® is a mixture of a polymer (acrylate) and oil-soluble substances that make the hair surface less attractive to lice. Studies have shown that lice are less likely to remain on hair or tissue that has been treated with Elimax® Pure Power.

When should you use Elimax® Pure Power?

Use Elimax® when you suspect lice infestation. Check the hair daily for the following 7 days. Repeat the treatment after 7 days or sooner if you discover a re-infestation of lice or nits. Shake the bottle before each treatment.

Elimax® Lice Defence Shampoo

Elimax® Lice Defence Shampoo provides effective protection against head lice and can be used to prevent re-infestation after a previous treatment against head lice.

How does it work?

LPF™ (= Lice Protection Factor) is the ingredient that made Elimax® a breakthrough in head lice treatment. LPF™ is a combination of ingredients that is added to Elimax® products to treat the hair so that it is protected against new lice.

LPF prevents a new lice infestation through a double approach:

1. LPF™ coats the hair with a combination of a poymer and an oil, making it unattractive to lice, which also means the hair has a lower static charge. Which is important because hair is naturally very attractive to lice. Lice can neither jump nor fly, but move by the static attraction of the hair, for example. Hair that has been treated with Elimax® therefore attracts fewer lice (passive avoidance).
2. LPF™ treats the hair in such a way that the surface structure and odour become unattractive to lice.Elimax® has a pleasant scent for humans, which children also like. a. Lice will give treated areas a wide berth (active avoidance). b. If there are still lice in the hair, they will not lay eggs in the treated area (inhibition of egg laying). This prevents a new infestation of lice.

How to use

Lotion:

1. Bottle activation: Hold the bottle firmly in your hand and place your thumb on number 1. Press the cap forwards. The cap is now positioned at an angle. The effective solution is now released. Shake the bottle thoroughly for 10 seconds. Break off the tip of the cap. The product is now ready for use. Pick up the cap and you can close the bottle with it.
2. Apply the solution: Place a towel around your neck and shoulders during treatment. Apply a generous amount of solution to dry hair. Hair and scalp must be completely covered. Massage the product in thoroughly and do not forget the areas behind the ears and at the nape of the neck. Leave the product on for 10 to a maximum of 15 minutes (no longer). In the meantime, comb the hair with the nit comb. If necessary, style any tangles beforehand with a conventional brush. Use the lice comb correctly: Divide your hair into 4 sections. Comb through each section of hair with the lice comb. Start as close to the scalp as possible and comb through to the ends to remove all nits and lice. Comb through one section at a time. Clean the nit comb with a cotton wool pad after each combing.
3. Lather up the shampoo: After leaving it on for 10-15 minutes (no longer), wash the hair with a conventional shampoo. Wash and rinse thoroughly and comb the hair with a nit comb. Check the hair for the next 7 days. If you discover new lice during this period, repeat the treatment. Shake the bottle before each treatment. A single treatment is usually sufficient.

Shampoo:

• Use the shampoo on wet hair, just like your normal shampoo: leave it on for 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. For optimal effect and protection, it is recommended to use Elimax® Louse Defence Shampoo every 3 days.
• Please note: Only suitable for external use. Do not use Elimax® Louse Defence Shampoo if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of contact, rinse eyes or mucous membranes thoroughly with clear water.
