The Elimax® Anti-Lice Kit consists of a combination of Elimax® Pure Power Lotion (200 ml) – for rapid treatment – and Elimax® Lice Defence Shampoo (200 ml) for protection and prevention against re-infestation by lice and nits.

Elimax® Pure Power Solution

Elimax® Pure Power is an effective solution against head lice and nits. It consists of two liquids that must be mixed together before use. The active ingredient consists of Prosil, a substance specially developed for this purpose, and the Lice Protection Factor (LPF®). The patented Prosil was selected for its powerful effect against head lice. The mixture offers a dual action: it blocks the lice’s breathing holes and draws moisture from the lice’s skin after just 10 minutes. Elimax® Pure Power contains no neurotoxic insecticides, meaning that resistance cannot develop. Elimax® Pure Power contains no silicone (dimethicone), so it leaves no greasy residue in the hair. To ensure optimum protection against lice, Elimax® contains the LPF®. This factor makes the hair extremely unattractive to lice.

Hair treated with Elimax® Pure Power and then washed remains grease-free after treatment and is less likely to be infested by new lice.

How does Elimax® Pure Power protect the hair from re-infestation?

LPF® is a mixture of a polymer (acrylate) and oil-soluble substances, which makes the hair surface less attractive to lice. Studies have shown that lice are less likely to remain on hair or fabric that has been treated with Elimax® Pure Power.

When should you use Elimax® Pure Power?

Use Elimax® if you suspect a head lice infestation. Check the hair daily for the following 7 days. Repeat the treatment after 7 days, or sooner if you discover a re-infestation with head lice or nits. Shake the bottle before each treatment.

Elimax® Lice Repellent Shampoo

Elimax® Lice Prevention Shampoo offers effective protection against head lice and can be used to prevent re-infestation following a previous treatment for head lice.

How does it work?

LPF™ (Lice Protection Factor) is the ingredient that has helped Elimax® achieve a breakthrough in head lice treatment. LPF™ is a combination of ingredients added to Elimax® products to treat the hair in such a way that it is protected against new lice.

LPF prevents a new lice infestation through a two-pronged approach:

1. LPF™ coats the hair with a combination of a polymer and an oil, making it unattractive to lice. This also means that the hair has a lower static charge. This is important because hair is naturally very attractive to lice. Lice cannot jump or fly, but move by means of, for example, the static attraction of the hair. Hair treated with Elimax® therefore attracts fewer lice (passive prevention).
2. LPF™ treats the hair in such a way that the surface structure and odour become unattractive to lice. Elimax® has a pleasant scent for humans, which children also like. a. Lice will give treated areas a wide berth (active avoidance). b. If there are still lice in the hair, they will not lay eggs in the treated area (inhibition of egg-laying). This prevents a new lice infestation.

Formulation

Shampoo 200 ml + Lotion 200 ml

Directions for use

Lotion: 

1. Activating the bottle: Hold the bottle firmly in your hand and place your thumb on number 1. Push the cap forwards. The cap is now positioned at an angle. The active solution is now released. Shake the bottle thoroughly for 10 seconds. Snap off the tip of the cap. The product is now ready for use. Keep the cap; you can use it to reseal the bottle.
2. Applying the solution: During the treatment, wrap a towel around your neck and shoulders. Apply a generous amount of the solution to dry hair. Your hair and scalp must be completely covered. Massage the product in thoroughly, making sure not to miss the areas behind your ears and at the nape of your neck. Leave the product on for 10 to a maximum of 15 minutes (no longer). In the meantime, comb through your hair with the nit comb. If necessary, untangle any knots beforehand using a standard brush. How to use the nit comb correctly: Divide your hair into 4 sections. Comb through each section with the nit comb. Start as close to the scalp as possible and comb right through to the ends to remove all nits and lice. Comb through one section at a time. Clean the nit comb with a cotton pad after each pass.
3. Lather up the shampoo: After leaving it on for 10–15 minutes (no longer), wash your hair with a standard shampoo. Wash and rinse it thoroughly, then comb through your hair with a nit comb. Check the hair for the next 7 days. If you discover any new lice during this period, repeat the treatment. Shake the bottle before each treatment. In most cases, a single treatment is sufficient.

Shampoo:

• Apply the shampoo to wet hair, just as you would your normal shampoo: leave it on for 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. For optimal effectiveness and protection, it is recommended to use Elimax® Anti-Louse Shampoo every 3 days.
• Notes: For external use only. Do not use Elimax® Lice Defence Shampoo if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. In case of contact, rinse the eyes or mucous membranes thoroughly with clean water.
