The use of this traditional herbal medicinal product in the above-mentioned areas of application is based exclusively on many years of use.
Lemon balm (Folium Melissae)
- This perennial, usually highly branched plant grows to a height of around 30 to 70 cm. Its egg-shaped leaves have a lemony odour and taste. The typical odour is due to the essential oil (with the main components citral and citronella).
- Effect: Lemon balm has a calming effect and helps with nervous sleep disorders and gastrointestinal complaints. The antispasmodic effect alleviates stomach and bile complaints.

Directions for use
- Adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and over: 1 cup of tea 3 times a day
- Children from 2-6 years: 1 cup of tea 1-2 times a day
- Pour boiling water over 1 filter bag per cup (125 ml), cover and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Then squeeze out the filter bag and drink the tea lukewarm, in sips. The tea can be sweetened to taste.
- If the symptoms worsen or last longer than 14 days, a doctor must be consulted.
- Use in children under 2 years of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data available.
