Dr Ehrenberger Chondroitin + MSM + Glucosamine Capsules are a hand-capsulated, vegan food supplement with valuable nutrients such as chondroitin sulphate, glucosamine sulphate and methylsulphonylmethane.

Chondroitin is contained in human cartilage ("chondros" is the Greek word for cartilage) and is an important "building material" in the body for all body structures that consist of collagen type 2, such as cartilage mass and synovial fluid (or synovial fluid).

The vegan form of chondroitin is new, whereas otherwise animal sources are used, such as pig noses or ears, tracheas from cows and pigs, shark or bovine cartilage, rooster combs. However, the utilisation of animal chondroitin is not very good, which is why quite large quantities are given as a daily dose.

Chondroitin obtained from fermentation, on the other hand, is absorbed twice as well - you only need half the dose. Why? The chondroitin molecules in vegan chondroitin are much more similar to human chondroitin and are so small that the body can absorb them unchanged. The so-called sulphate ions are located in the same place as in human chondroitin.

Glucosamine is also obtained from vegan sources, instead of from shellfish (shrimps, crabs, lobsters), offal or fibre-rich meat, which contain the inflammation-promoting arachidonic acid as a disadvantage. Glucosamine is available here in the crystalline sulphate form (glucosamine sulphate) and is more ideal than a hydrochloride preparation (HCL), as sulphate compounds are perfect transporters for the relatively large glucosamine compounds across membranes. It is important to take it throughout the day.
