DermaPlast® Wound Spray is a medical device for the painless cleansing, irrigation, moisturising and care of acute, chronic and infected wounds as well as first and second degree burns.

DermaPlast® Wound Spray is a solution for cleaning, irrigation, moisturising and care, which is used together with materials such as bandages, dressings and wound pads on acute, chronic and infected wounds as well as first and second degree burns.

DermaPlast® Wound Spray cleans wounds mechanically. Surface-active agents in this composition enable comfortable and painless cleaning. DermaPlast® Wound Spray promotes wound healing by ensuring a very positive cleansing and moisturising effect on the applied areas.

DermaPlast® Wound Spray can also be used for antiseptic cleansing and to soften and remove dried dressing materials adhering to the wound without causing secondary trauma. The antimicrobial action of DermaPlast® Wound Spray provides an ideal solution to prevent the formation of biofilms on bandages and dressings. DermaPlast® Wound Spray does not inhibit granulation or epithelialisation. DermaPlast® Wound Spray does not cause sensitisation and can be used safely for a long time. At the same time, it protects against multi-resistant (e.g. MRSA, VRE) and mycotic pathogens. DermaPlast® Wound Spray is also well tolerated by allergy sufferers and diabetics and is suitable for children and sensitive skin. The ingredient polyhexanide has been clinically tested millions of times, is dermatologically harmless and is considered the wound treatment of choice*. How to use

DermaPlast® Wound Spray can be applied directly to wounds as well as to bandages and dressings. The entire wound and surrounding area should be thoroughly cleansed with DermaPlast® Wound Spray to minimise the risk of transferring contaminants and micro-organisms to the wound surface. Application can be repeated as required by the wound conditions without time restriction. When used to soften dressings and bandages adhering to the wound surface, moisten the materials thoroughly with DermaPlast® Wound Spray. Allow to soften for approx. 5-10 minutes and then carefully remove from the wound.
