Cutimed PROTECT Applicator is a skin protection product. The liquid applied with the foam applicator forms a durable, waterproof protective film that protects the skin from adhesives, abrasive elements, bodily excretions, digestive and wound fluids. For use on intact or irritated skin.
Properties
- Waterproof barrier: Cutimed PROTECT forms a waterproof barrier and is therefore ideal for protection against bodily excretions and fluids, such as wound fluids.
- Protective barrier: Cutimed PROTECT protects intact skin or skin irritated by adhesives, wound fluids or incontinence (urine or faeces).
- Adapts to skin movements: The film formed is flexible and does not tear, thus maintaining an effective moisture barrier.
- Durable: The moisture barrier lasts up to 96 hours.
- Easy to remove: The protective film can be easily removed with most medical adhesive removers.

How to use
The Cutimed® PROTECT applicator has a prophylactic effect on intact or already irritated skin areas and protects them from maceration by body fluids for up to 96 hours. Thanks to its alcohol- and perfume-free formulation, it is particularly gentle on the skin. The product is therefore also suitable for use on children.
Areas of application:
- Primary protection against skin irritation caused by bodily fluids
- Protective shield against adhesives and irritants
- Protection of the skin surrounding the wound and the wound edge against maceration
Duration of application: depending on the indication (e.g. cleansing).
Ingredients
Cutimed® PROTECT Applicator consists of a polymer solution of disiloxane and acrylate copolymer.
