- The wound pad absorbs exudate and does not stick to the wound. The semi-permeable polyurethane film is coated with an adhesive. The waterproof film is permeable to water vapour and gases.
- Cosmopor transparent can be used in the post-operative care of lightly exuding wounds, as protection against bacterial penetration and as a dressing for minor injuries

Directions for use
- Clean the area thoroughly and ensure that the skin is dry and free from creams and ointments.
- Open the blister pack and remove the dressing. Cosmopor transparent is protected by four films, which are numbered 1 to 4 in the order of application.
- Peel back protective films 1 and 2 slightly. Then position the adhesive side of Cosmopor Transparent, with the wound pad, onto the wound, ensuring that the wound pad completely covers the wound. Remove protective films 1 and 2 completely and press the film lightly onto the skin. Adjust the film to follow the contours of the body. Remove protective film 3. Then remove protective film 4 and press the dressing lightly onto the skin.
- Cosmopor transparent can be removed almost painlessly by overstretching the material. To do this, lift one corner and carefully peel the dressing off whilst overstretching it.
