Areas of application
Warming eye mask for the relaxing relief of symptoms of:
- Meibomian gland dysfunction (blepharitis)
- Dry eyes (keratoconjunctivitis sicca)
- Styes (eyelid cysts) and the associated symptoms of itchy, irritated and reddened eyes
To achieve the best results, we recommend heating the BlephaCura® The Eye Doctor® eye heat mask in the microwave. Alternatively, you can use an oven.
To ensure the heat is distributed effectively and to prevent hot spots, shake the eye heat mask immediately after heating and before use to ensure the filling material is evenly distributed within the mask.
The BlephaCura® The Eye Doctor® eye heat mask is filled with BodyBeads®, a silicone-based filling material that can be heated in the microwave or in the oven. BodyBeads® are more resistant to overheating than natural filling materials. Tested by Intertek in 2014.

Directions for use
- Instructions for heating in the microwave: Remove the cover and place the inner pouch flat in a clean, microwave-safe container. The eye heat mask can also be heated with the cover on. Power: 700 to 850 watts, max. heating time: 30 seconds Power: 851 to 1000 watts, max. heating time: 15 seconds
- Instructions for heating in the oven: Remove the cover and place the inner pouch flat in a clean, oven-safe container. Heat the inner pouch in a preheated oven at 150 °C (top and bottom heat) or at 140 °C (fan-assisted) for 7–10 minutes, or in a gas oven on setting 2 for 7–10 minutes. (Adjust the heating time according to your oven’s power.)
- The following applies to both heating methods: Always check the temperature of the Blepha Cura® The Eye Doctor® eye warm mask before placing it over your eyes. To do this, hold the warmed eye warm mask against the inside of your wrist. If the eye warm mask is too hot, leave it to cool for 1 to 2 minutes. Then hold the eye warm mask against the inside of your wrist again to check the temperature before placing it over your eyes. Sit down, wrap the strap around your head so that it is comfortable for you, lean back and relax for 7–10 minutes.
