Bios Threonine + Q10 capsules are a food supplement containing the amino acid L-threonine and the coenzyme Q10.

Like all proteinogenic amino acids, L-threonine is involved in the formation of proteins. This essential amino acid is a precursor of the two amino acids glycine and serine and is a component of many important proteins, including collagen and mucins. Collagen is mainly found in connective tissue, tendons and ligaments, but is also an essential component of bones and cartilage. In the skin, collagen is an important building block for connective tissue - after all, 70% of it consists of this structural protein. Mucins are mucous substances that are released by the mucous membranes. The intestinal mucosa, for example, consists of approx. 30 % L-threonine. As a lipotropic, L-threonine controls the accumulation of fat in the liver. This amino acid also serves as an adhesive for small tears in the walls of blood vessels.
