Phosphatidylserine (PS for short) belongs to the group of phospholipids, which are natural building blocks for the brain, cell walls and nerve cells. Phosphatidylserine plays an important role in cognitive processes. Phosphatidylserine is found in many foods in very different quantities. Beef and chicken, for example, are rich in PS. Small amounts are also found in dairy products. With the exception of white beans and soya, vegetables hardly contain any PS.
