Bios Milk Thistle 500 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing milk thistle extract (Silybum marianum). The extract is obtained from the seeds of the plant and is standardised to 80% silymarin.

"When St Mary was breastfeeding her child, she is said to have lost some milk. The droplets fell on the leaves of a thistle", which has since given the plant its name - milk thistle (Silybum marianum). This traditional plant has always been used as a herbal preparation against snake bites and to strengthen the liver and gall bladder. The most important ingredient is probably silymarin. This substance stimulates the regeneration of liver cells and promotes the formation of bile. As a result, digestion is also stimulated.
