Bios Lutein 6 mg Plus Bilberry Extract Capsules are a food supplement containing the carotenoid lutein and bilberry extract.

The sensible combination of lutein and bilberry extract. Lutein belongs to the group of carotenoids and is found in the yellow spot of the retina. It plays an important role for our eyes, as the yellow carotenoid protects the eye from damage caused by (sun)light and ensures sharp vision in the macula. Lutein absorbs blue light before it reaches the visual cells, thereby reducing the formation of free radicals that damage the retina. The typical colouring agents of blueberries (anthocyanins) have protective properties. They support twilight vision and reduce eye fatigue in dim light.

The eye's adaptation time after glare is shortened and full vision is restored more quickly. For the extract, the ingredients of the bilberry are extracted and then dried, which means that the values of the ingredients are higher than in a bilberry powder.

• Ingredients: Bilberry extract; lutein (modified food starch, maize starch, lutein, glucose syrup, antioxidant: sodium ascorbate, DL-alpha-tocopherol), capsule shell: gelatine; colouring in the capsule shell: iron oxide.
• Composition per daily dose (1 capsule): 6 mg free lutein (corresponding to 360 μg zeaxanthin) and 350 mg blueberry extract.
