Bios Lutein 6 mg Plus Blueberry Extract Capsules are a food supplement containing the carotenoid lutein and blueberry extract.

The beneficial combination of lutein and blueberry extract. Lutein belongs to the carotenoid group and is found in the macula of the retina. It plays an important role in our eyes, as this yellow carotenoid protects the eye from damage caused by (sun) light and ensures sharp vision in the macula. Lutein absorbs blue light before it reaches the photoreceptor cells. This reduces the formation of free radicals, which damage the retina. The characteristic pigments of the blueberry (the anthocyanins) have protective properties. They support twilight vision and reduce eye fatigue in low light.

The eye’s adaptation time following glare is reduced and full vision is restored more quickly. To produce the extract, the active ingredients of the blueberry are extracted and then dried, meaning the concentrations of these ingredients are higher than in blueberry powder.

Adults: Take 1 capsule once daily with liquid.

• Ingredients: Blueberry extract; lutein (modified food starch, maize starch, lutein, glucose syrup, antioxidants: sodium ascorbate, DL-alpha-tocopherol), capsule shell: gelatine; colouring in the capsule shell: iron oxide.
• Composition per daily dose (1 capsule): 6 mg free lutein (equivalent to 360 μg zeaxanthin) and 350 mg blueberry extract.
