Bios Lutein 10 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing the carotenoid lutein. A high-dose supplement providing 10 mg of lutein per capsule.
Lutein belongs to the carotenoid group and is found in
the macula of the retina. It plays an important role
in our eyes, as this yellow carotenoid protects
the eye from damage caused by (sun)light and ensures
sharp vision in the macula. Lutein absorbs blue
light before it reaches the photoreceptor cells. This reduces the
formation of free radicals that damage the retina,
thereby helping to reduce the risk of age-related eye diseases.
