Bios Lip Protection Capsules are a food supplement containing L-lysine, natural B vitamins from quinoa sprouts and zinc.

Cold sores are caused by a viral infection with the so-called herpes simplex virus type 1. This virus is highly contagious and is present in almost everyone, often in a ‘dormant’ state. Triggering factors for the outbreak or proliferation of the virus and, subsequently, the development of a cold sore can include stress, colds, hormonal fluctuations, a general weakened immune system and intense UV exposure .

In addition to the traditional external methods of treating cold sores, scientific evidence also suggests that there are options for internal use which can both prevent an outbreak and accelerate the healing of an existing cold sore. Our capsules contain a combination of L-lysine, zinc and various B vitamins, which are ideal as a dietary supplement or for use as a course of treatment when there is an increased susceptibility to cold sores.

Adults: Take 2 capsules three times daily with liquid.

Ingredients

• Ingredients: L-lysine HCl, PanMol® B-complex; bulking agent: mannitol (may have a laxative effect if consumed in excess!); zinc gluconate, capsule shell: cellulose; colouring agent in the capsule shell: titanium dioxide.
• Composition per daily dose (6 capsules) %NRV*: 0.4 mg vitamin B1 (36 % NRV*), 0.5 mg vitamin B2 (36 % NRV*), 5.76 mg vitamin B3 (36% NRV*), 2.16 mg vitamin B5 (36% NRV*), 0.5 mg vitamin B6 (36% NRV*), 18 μg biotin (36% NRV*), 72 μg folic acid (36% NRV*), 0.9 μg vitamin B12 (36% NRV*), 12 mg zinc (120% NRV*) and 1500 mg L-lysine. *NRV = Percentage of the recommended daily intake.
